JVC has a problem—a problem more projector manufacturers wish they had. When the company launched its relatively affordable DLA-RS1 LCOS projector several years ago, it created a sensation. Every model year since then brought new updates. Expectations rose, and preceding to every CEDIA (the September trade show that is the traditional launching paper for new home theater projectors), we’ve wondered what JVC would next wake its lineup. The cosmetics have changed several times, just more importantly, a basic supervise of slack but steady improvements has continued. It has even inspired other projector manufacturers to up their game, and the increased value available to the consumer across the souk in general has been substantial.

A front-projection system is usually the display of choice all for serious home-theater enthusiasts. But such as systems are more expensive than most flat panels and rear-projection TVs, especially once you consider the cost of a good screen. So finding a cheap projector that performs well is the Holy Grail all for those who want a true home celluloid without breaking the bank.
